March News - Water in the Pond?

The rain keeps falling so that is great for the Pond. We had a short but sweet meeting. Here are the notes to keep you up to date.

General Session Call to Order                                                                                    7:00 PM

Pond Update

· The Valley Water project for the Bladder dam completion remains on schedule       

• The long pole appears to be getting power to the new pump house.

·         Expected complete date scheduled for May 30th

Facilities Update – John Crivello

·          Given Pond project update we need to get the course ready to be put back in this spring.

• All materials have been purchased, just need appropriate conditions to have work party for installing subfloats.

• Be ready to volunteer when weather/Pond conditions make this possible so we can start skiing when Bladder dam project stabilizes our water level.

Public Relations – Larry Connor (llconnor@gmail.com)

·         Larry is working with Preliminary dates and associated agencies

·         Larry will move out on the dates and be asking for Boat volunteers as well as helpers

Sergeant at Arms – Gordon Jensen (gordon.jensen@comcast.net)

·         Inspections:

o     When we get access back in the Pond all Boats Launched must be current with insurance and other paperwork.

o      Ensure with Gordon you are up to date on Insurance and all necessary forms.

Treasurer – John Collins

·         Submitted 2023 budget results and Financials - All in Good shape

·         2024 Budget Approved by Board as a normal year pending changes from Actual water supply / Course availability

Membership – Steve Dachauer

·            Membership Drive completed. 34 Active and 6 Supporting members

Tournaments - Kevin Bishop / Scot Anger

·         Grand American 1 & 2 Planned for Lake Side Ranch on July 13/14

·         SCCWSC co-sponsoring / supporting so sign up to ski!

Entertainment – Mish Chadwick

Party when we get the water.
